Want to chart out a musical arrangement?

A few years ago, when our Sonification module was in its early stages, we built a Highcharts Christmas card playing Jingle Bells for fun.

The Sonification module works by playing back data points, using pitch and volume to indicate value (high value = high pitch). However, it’s also possible to specify a specific frequency to be played back. As lazy developers, instead of manually creating the datapoints and associated frequencies, we built a hacky tool to convert MIDI files to data series.

This script has been laying around for years collecting dust, but we now present it to you, the public, for your enjoyment.
